Job Title: Workers' Compensation Paralegal Location: Charleston (Mt. Key Responsibilities Case Management: Oversee the lifecycle of defense files, ensuring accurate docketing and tracking within ProLaw. Drafting: Prepare initial written discovery requests, responses, mediation requests, petitions, and settlement packets. Summaries: Review medical records, calculate benefits, and compile high-level file summaries for attorney review. Filing & Docketing: Track hearing notices, critical deadlines, and attorney tasks to keep litigation on track. Production & Coordination: Gather medical, FOIA, and personnel records, coordinate IMEs, and assist with deposition prep. Client Relations: Coordinate updates directly with insurance carriers, corporate clients, and injured workers. Qualifications & Skills Experience: 1–3 years of specialized workers' compensation legal experience. Education: Four-year degree or a paralegal certificate from an ABA-approved program. Tech Savvy: Confident using ProLaw or similar case management systems, MS Office, and legal AI tools.
