Latchkey Supervisor

Schedule 6:00 am – 9:00 am and 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm Location Kirtland Elementary School Reports to Elementary School Principal Salary $20.00 per hour Job Purpose Provide direction, guidance, and supervision for children during latch key activities. Responsibilities Plan a variety of activities, structured and unstructured, that encourage student participation in social, recreational, and educational activities. Provide supervision, guidance, and discipline. Prepare the assigned program sites. Requisition supplies and equipment. Oversee the collection of registration and program fees. Order snacks for program. Monitor safety of children and be able to account for all children at all times. Develop a procedure for properly registering and releasing a child from the program. Oversee daily and weekly record keeping for each child. Keep parents informed of activities and events through newsletters and/or monthly calendars. Communicate with parents regarding any special issues related to their child. Develop process for keeping track of payments for program. Supervise, schedule and evaluate latchkey aides. Follow all school policies as written. Provide work assignments to latchkey staff. Serve as the liaison between the latchkey programs, various school staff and the communities. Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Organization, especially organizing groups of people involved in activities occurring in various locations. Communications, verbal, written and interpersonal. Evidence of a clear record as determined by the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation (BCII) and Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). Experience supervising students before and after the school day. Ability to assist with serving snacks. Experience cleaning and sanitizing tables. Authorized to obtain a Student Aide Permit issued through the Ohio Department of Education (cost and renewal required). #J-18808-Ljbffr Kirtland Local School District
