Duties
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize dental instruments
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care
- Perform dental receptionist duties such as scheduling appointments and managing patient records
- Provide chairside assistance to the dentist during procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment

Requirements
- Aseptic technique: Knowledge and ability to maintain a sterile environment
- Systems: Proficient in using dental software systems for appointment scheduling, record keeping, and billing
- Patient assessment: Ability to assess patients' oral health conditions and communicate findings to the dentist
- Dental assisting: Experience in assisting with various dental procedures, including restorative, endodontic, and periodontal treatments
- Dental receptionist: Familiarity with front desk duties such as answering phone calls, managing patient inquiries, and handling insurance claims
- Pediatrics: Experience working with pediatric patients and knowledge of their specific dental needs
- HIPAA: Understanding of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Medical documentation: Accurate and thorough documentation of patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes
