Mountain Sales Supervisor

The Mountain Sales Supervisor partners with the Mountain Sales Manager and Assistant Manager to lead the daily operations of Telluride Ski Resort's Mountain Sales locations. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for coaching and developing team members, supporting operational excellence, ensuring accurate financial processes, and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

The Mountain Sales Supervisor serves as a resource for both guests and employees while fostering a collaborative, guest-focused culture. This position may be assigned to any Mountain Sales location throughout the resort.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead daily Mountain Sales operations while ensuring exceptional guest service and operational efficiency.
• Recruit, train, coach, and support a team of Mountain Sales Representatives.
• Provide leadership and guidance while fostering a positive, collaborative work environment.
• Support daily cash handling, financial reconciliation, and operational reporting.
• Resolve guest concerns professionally while serving as the primary escalation point for complex inquiries.
• Maintain expertise in Mountain Sales products, season passes, resort activities, and operational procedures.
• Partner with internal departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
• Follow company policies, the Colorado Skier Safety Act, and the Skier Responsibility Code.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years of leadership or supervisory experience in hospitality, retail, tourism, recreation, or a guest service environment.
• Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills.
• Experience with cash handling, financial reconciliation, and point-of-sale systems preferred.
• Knowledge of Telluride Ski Resort products, services, and the local area preferred.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, overtime, and peak operating periods.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
• Frequent use of computers and point-of-sale equipment.
• Ability to occasionally lift, carry, or move up to 50 pounds.
• Visual abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

Work Schedule

• Winter Full-Time Seasonal position.
• Anticipated season dates: November April 5.
• Typical shifts are approximately 7:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and include a lunch and ski break.
• Employees are generally scheduled five days per week with two consecutive days off, subject to operational needs.
• This is a full-time seasonal position with an average work schedule of approximately 32 hours per week. Actual hours may vary based on business needs.
• Employees must be available to work weekends, holidays, and peak operating periods. To support our busiest times of the season, employees are expected to work during designated holiday and peak operating periods. Because these are critical operating periods, employees are expected to be available to work during these dates.
