Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Location: Atlanta, GA
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night | 7:00 PM–7:00 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | 36 Hours/Week
Traveler Candidates: Required

Pay Rate:
Traveler: $40–$48/hr, based on experience

Required Qualifications:

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license — Required
• Minimum 2 years of recent Medical-Surgical nursing experience — Required
• AHA BLS certification — Required
• NIH certification — Required
• AHA ACLS certification — Preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills
• Strong patient-care skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Medical-Surgical environment
• Must be available to work the required holiday schedule

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical patients
• Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to physician orders and nursing standards
• Develop and implement individualized patient care plans
• Monitor vital signs, laboratory results, and patient responses to treatment
• Identify and report changes in patient condition
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Provide patient and family education regarding treatment, medications, and discharge planning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Follow hospital policies, infection-control procedures, patient-safety standards, and regulatory requirements
• Provide quality, patient-centered care throughout the assignment
