Clerical Assistant 2 Join the Department of Health as a Clerical Assistant 2 and help support vital public health services across the Commonwealth. This role provides essential clerical and customer support that helps the Southcentral District Office carry out its public health mission. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties: Call Handling: Answer calls, provide information, and direct inquiries using Department of Health procedures Clerical Support: Support staff during clinics, investigations, and community health events Record Maintenance: Maintain literature collections, bulletin boards, and health center materials Data Entry: Enter records into PIERS and prepare clinic activity reports with accuracy Supply Management: Coordinate inventory and order supplies to keep clinic operations running Emergency Response: Assist with essential functions or emergency duties during public health events Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week. Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position. Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes). Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Graduation from high school; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
