Remote Research Engineer - Eclipse

Reporting to the Head of Engineering, this Research Engineer will play a key role in conducting research, designing protocols, and implementing core infrastructure components that power our network. Qualifications 3+ years of experience in research and development in the crypto space, with a strong track record of contributions to protocol design and implementation Professional Rust experience Deep understanding of decentralized networks, consensus mechanisms, cryptographic primitives, and protocol-level concepts Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced startup environment. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; Master’s degree or PhD with a focus on distributed systems, cryptography, or blockchain technology a plus. Responsibilities Conduct research on various aspects of decentralized networks, consensus mechanisms, cryptography, and protocol design Design and architect novel protocols and algorithms to address scalability, security, and performance challenges in crypto Implement and optimize protocol-level features and infrastructure components using Rust Write technical whitepapers, research reports, and documentation to communicate research findings and protocol designs.
