Product Manager - ArcGIS Earth

Overview

ArcGIS Earth is a product used by hundreds of thousands of users across desktop and mobile devices that gives access to 3D maps anywhere. In this role, you will identify and prioritize industry requirements for a product effort charged with defining, building, and releasing ArcGIS Earth, a lightweight, easy-to-use client application for users to browse maps, explore 3D content, and share information.

This role will focus on the use of ArcGIS Earth within large enterprise user communities in federal and state government. You will be expected to find and realize additional opportunities for ArcGIS Earth to bring the value of ArcGIS into everyday user workflows including related technologies such as imagery, IoT, and more.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prioritize user needs and market opportunities through interviews, research and analysis
• Maintain the product plan and roadmap based on customer feedback and business goals
• Collaborate with Product Engineers to develop product specifications and user stories
• Partner with other product managers to align the vision for reality mapping with market and organizational needs
• Ensure teams are prepared for product releases, including sales and support
• Ensure Global Business Development and partners are equipped to engage with potential customers
• Act as the go-to expert on reality mapping capabilities
• Support the development and implementation of pricing and licensing strategies
• Foster collaboration across teams to ensure a cohesive product story and success
• Collaborate with Product Marketing to plan and deliver effective go-to-market strategies, product messaging and release communications
• Promote GIS and 3D through presentations and publications
• Develop deep knowledge of open specifications and standards, including KML/KMZ, i3S, 3DTiles and other OGC standards to support key markets and to recommend changes and additions to help standard adoption internally and externally

Requirements

• 2+ years of practical experience in the geospatial field
• Experience as a Product Manager or similar role, preferably in the geospatial technology or mapping industry
• Excellent communication, storytelling, and persuasion skills across all levels of an organization
• Strong understanding of GIS, 3D, and engineering technology for visualization, collaboration, situational awareness, or planning
• Proven experience in federal government GIS operations with a focus on defense and law enforcement workflows
• Ability to present to customers and to cultivate strategic relationships with customers and partners
• U.S. citizenship with the ability and willingness to obtain a security clearance
• Requirement for travel 10-20% for strategic meetings, events, and/or tradeshows
• Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geospatial Technology, Geography, Computer Science or STEM related field

Recommended Qualifications

• Technical experience using business analytic software, data transformations, and new technologies in the area of data analytics and visualization
• Experience with geospatial technology, mapping, and location-based content
• Experience in Pragmatic Marketing Framework

Compensation decisions and the base range for this role take into account many factors including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range is

$95,160—$157,456 USD
