Lead Data & AI Engineer

IDR is seeking a Lead Data & AI Engineer to join one of our top clients for a remote opportunity. This role involves partnering with cross-functional teams to design and implement advanced data solutions within a banking environment. The position offers a unique chance to lead technical initiatives and explore innovative AI capabilities in a dynamic financial services setting.

Position Overview for the Lead Data & AI Engineer:

• Serve as a hands-on lead engineer within an Agile development team.
• Partner with developers and stakeholders on technical designs.
• Develop complex user stories and technical solutions.
• Conduct and support code reviews.
• Provide technical guidance to other developers.
• Explore new AI and GenAI capabilities for the bank.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques where appropriate.
• Support development of scalable data and application solutions.

Requirements for the Lead Data & AI Engineer:

• 69 years of relevant engineering experience
• Advanced PySpark
• Advanced SQL Server
• Strong hands-on software/data engineering background
• Experience designing and implementing complex technical solutions
• Experience working within Agile development teams
