Accountant with Back Office Support

Astute Business Solutions, an Oracle Cloud Partner specializing in ERP solutions including PeopleSoft, Oracle EBS, and Banner systems, headquartered in Dublin, California, is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant with strong back-office support experience to join our growing team.

Position Details

Job Title: Accountant with Back Office Support

Location Hybrid : Dublin, CA (Bay Area)

Work Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Hybrid – Remote 3 days per week and 2 days onsite

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time

Compensation: $75,000 – $80,000 annually based on experience (pro-rated for part-time positions)

Key Responsibilities

Duties And Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Process vendor invoices and payments
• Process bi-monthly payroll for a small staff
• Manage monthly contractor payments
• Manage customer invoicing for time-and-material or milestone-based billing
• Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable, including collection follow-up
• Communicate with customers regarding billing and collection matters
• Maintain personnel records and process employee timesheets for payroll
• Perform payroll, billing, and accounts payable functions
• Support daily back-office operations
• Monitor and report on project profitability
• Assist with annual financial statements and coordinate with external CPAs
• Monitor compliance matters and advise management on potential issues
• Support business development, sales, and marketing teams through reporting and project analysis
• Perform bank and credit card reconciliations
• Lead special projects and perform additional duties as assigned
• Manage receivables, including incoming payments, bank deposits, balancing financial records, invoice verification, and general ledger updates
• Work efficiently while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail

Qualifications And Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration
• 4–5 years of accounting experience preferred
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience with payroll, billing, accounts payable, and receivables
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, including QuickBooks Payroll Online, and Microsoft Excel is a plus
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
