Job Title Plant Controller Company Mauser Packaging Solutions Job Description The Plant Controller serves as the financial leader for the plant and a key member of the plant leadership team. This highly visible role oversees all plant accounting activities and provides critical financial insights to guide operational decisions and long-term strategy. Key Responsibilities Direct plant accounting operations to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including monthly statements, annual budgets, and forecasts. Manage month‑end close processes and validate the accuracy of financial statements. Analyze overhead, cost of sales, and manufacturing costs; identify variances against budget, forecast, and prior periods. Maintain material cost standards for accurate product costing. Coordinate and participate in physical inventory counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy. Review and match invoices to receipts, ensuring proper account coding. Oversee accounting for plant fixed assets and repairs, including capital expenditure requests. Ensure production processes impacting financial data are accurately executed. Implement and maintain systems and controls to safeguard assets, processes, and data integrity. Identify cost trends and collaborate with plant teams to develop cost‑saving initiatives. Ensure compliance with SOX regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Perform additional duties as assigned. Requirements Bachelor’s degree required. 2–3 years of manufacturing and cost accounting experience. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills; QAD experience preferred. Strong leadership, communication, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment and work effectively as part of a team.
