I O Engineer

Location: Preferred MN002 (Optum) or Remote OK

Project/Projects: Digital Products - Mobile/Portal Services

Availability and Performance Monitoring (including Peak Season)

Stability and Reliability Engineering

Develop/update technical documentation and diagrams

Team: Part of OptumRx Digital, 4 on/off shore peers, 10+ indirect peers.

Candidate Background: Experience in E-commerce, Digital products (Web, Mobile etc) Application and infrastructure experience

Top Responsibilities:

• Availability and Performance Monitoring
• Participate in high-priority war rooms and summarize/provide updates to key stakeholders
• Assist with incident/problem RCA and identification of trends
• Identify key performance indicators and leverage monitoring tools to track trending/deviation from baselines
• Participate in pre-release performance/load testing as a technical SME, using KPIs to assess performance against baselines
• Provide input and data analysis on a weekly/monthly basis for a set of services within the digital portfolio
• Stability and Reliability Engineering
• Assess and monitor overall application stability and performance, providing insight to areas for potential improvement
• Identify risk areas and work collaboratively to address and remediate
• Monitor infrastructure capacity and performance, track the remediation of enterprise identified security vulnerabilities
• Support technology modernization efforts, providing insights on opportunities for automation and optimization
• Develop/update technical documentation and diagrams

Software Tools/Skills: Microsoft Office Dynatrace Splunk various open-source monitoring Data Analysis

Must Have Skills/Attributes: Problem Solving Data Analysis Familiar with Infrastructure and Application development

Nice to Have Skills/Attributes: Previous Optum experience

Work Location: Preferred MN051 (Optum) Remote OK

Work Hours: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. central Some night/Weekends depending on season or releases

a. How many rounds? 2 initial and final

b. Video vs. phone? Initial phone, final if candidate is local face to face

c. How technical will the interviews be? We will ask technical questions as it relates to their experience.
