Job Posting Title: Undergraduate Research Assistant Hiring Department: Molecular Biosciences Position Open To: All Applicants Weekly Scheduled Hours: 10 Hourly Rate: $20.00 per hour Location: AUSTIN, TX Earliest Start Date: Immediately Position Duration: Expected to Continue Until Feb 19, 2027 Responsibilities Assist lab staff in developing a backend SQL database using PostgreSQL. Assist in creating a front‑end web server with user login authentication using the Django web framework. Support lab operations as required. Qualifications Experience programming in Python. Basic understanding of SQL database structure and development. Familiarity with the Django web framework and PostgreSQL (nice to have). Familiarity with Amazon Web Services (AWS) is desirable. Strong work ethic, highly organized, ability to plan ahead, flexible schedule. Proficiency with Excel and similar spreadsheet programs. Interest in science and technology (a plus). Employment Conditions Uniforms and personal protection equipment are provided. Work may involve chemical fumes, biohazards, standard office conditions. Required Materials Resume/CV, three work references with contact information (at least one reference from a supervisor), letter of interest.
