Lead Software Engineer - Full Stack Java

Salary: $61,000 - 101,000 per year Requirements:

• We require formal training or certification in software engineering concepts, plus 5+ years of applied experience.
• We need strong proficiency across the full Software Development Life Cycle, from design and build through test, deployment, and operations.
• We expect advanced knowledge of application resilience and security practices in modern software delivery.
• We need advanced coding proficiency in one or more languages such as Java, JavaScript, or Python.
• We are looking for experience building services with Spring Boot.
• We require experience designing and delivering event-driven solutions using Kafka.
• We need practical cloud-native experience running production workloads on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• We expect proficiency in automation and continuous delivery practices, including CI/CD.
• We value demonstrated depth in at least one technical area such as cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or mobile engineering.
• Preferred: experience leading a small engineering team of around three to six people while staying hands-on.
• Preferred: experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers through feedback, pairing, and code review.
• Preferred: experience supporting the development of machine learning models, including causal inference approaches.
• Preferred: experience applying AI-assisted engineering techniques to speed delivery and improve quality.
• Preferred: hands-on experience using Visual Studio Code to debug web, cloud, and distributed applications.

• We design, develop, and troubleshoot creative software solutions, using non-routine approaches to solve complex problems.
• We build secure, high-quality production code, and we review, test, and debug code written by others.
• We identify opportunities to automate fixes for recurring issues and strengthen the operational stability of applications and systems.
• We lead evaluation sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to assess architecture, technical suitability, and alignment with enterprise standards.
• We contribute to and help lead communities of practice to promote adoption of emerging technologies across Software Engineering.
• We partner with product and technology stakeholders to turn business needs into technical solutions and delivery plans.
