Job Opportunity – Emergency Department / Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse – Iowa

Start Date: October 12, 2026

Location: Perry, Iowa

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: Every 3rd weekend required; holiday coverage as needed. Overtime, holiday, and call-back available at 1.25x multiplier. On-call rate $4/hour.

• Dual-specialty role with primary focus on Emergency Department and secondary coverage in Medical-Surgical
• Work collaboratively with House Supervisor and emergency medicine providers in a 24-hour emergency department
• State-of-the-art imaging equipment and 24-hour laboratory services on-site
• Streamlined admissions process in comfortable, modern treatment rooms
• Board-certified emergency medicine physicians available around the clock
• Contract assignment requiring availability with minimal time-off requests (maximum 5 days RTO accepted at time of submission)

Requirements:

• Active Iowa RN license or Compact multi-state license
• Minimum 2+ years of current Emergency Department experience (required)
• Minimum 2+ years of Medical-Surgical experience (required)
• High proficiency in both ED and Med-Surg specialties required
• Current American Heart Association BLS certification (required)
• Current American Heart Association ACLS certification (required)
• TNCC and PALS certifications (preferred)
• BSN degree (preferred)
• Previous travel nursing experience (preferred)
• Reliable personal vehicle required
• Must reside more than 50 miles from facility location
• Current Emergency Room and Medical-Surgical skills checklists (within one year)
• Two supervisory signed references from within the past two years
