Call: On-call requirement of up to 4 weeknight shifts per month and 2 weekend 12-hour shifts per month.

Ratios: Patient nurse ratios are 1:2.

Weekend requirements: Every other weekend and holiday requirements.

Floating: The traveler will need to float between like units within scope.

Block schedule: Open to block schedules is not feasible.

Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, and TNCC.

Facility details: Type of facility includes Trauma 1 and teaching hospital. Total staffed beds are 228. Charting system: Cerner Sorian 1st generation.

Patient care details: Patient age groups include adolescents, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census: Approximately 30 patients. Staffing includes interdisciplinary support such as respiratory services, social services, and pharmacy.

Additional information: The unit handles multi-specialty procedures, which include but are not limited to ENT, general surgery, urology, orthopedic surgery, bariatric surgery, and neuro/spine procedures. Nurse responsibilities include managing patient care, monitoring vital signs, and administering medications. Candidates are required to provide two supervisor references. Float policy includes floating within the hospital or to an affiliate facility nearby. Return staff policy: must be absent for one year before reapplying.
