Product Design Lead / AI Native (SF/Seattle/NY)

Rippling is hiring a Product Design Lead to own a critical product area within its unified HR, IT, and Finance platform. This role is for a senior design leader with experience in consumer fintech platform or AI-native technical designer with coding/agentic workflows and scalable system experience, who can turn complex administrative workflows into clear, elegant, consumer-grade product experiences. You will partner closely with product, engineering, research, and company leadership to define strategy, shape product direction, and ship high-impact work across one of Rippling’s core platform pillars. What you’ll do Own end-to-end design for complex, high-impact products, from early discovery and strategy through prototyping, launch, and QA. Partner with product and engineering leaders to define roadmap priorities, tradeoffs, and execution plans. Translate messy operational and administrative problems into intuitive, build-ready workflows. Create scalable design frameworks, patterns, and primitives that keep Rippling’s unified platform coherent. Work with UX Research to understand user needs and turn insights into sharp product decisions. Raise the craft bar through design reviews, mentorship, and strong systems thinking. Potential focus areas Benefits: Design modern benefits experiences for brokers, employers, and employees, including eligibility, payments, and partner marketplace workflows. Finance / Spend Management: Build unified experiences across corporate cards, bill pay, expenses, and travel, connected to HR and payroll data. Platform: Design foundational systems such as permissions, data visualization, shared surfaces, and cross-product frameworks. What you’ll need 8+ years of experience as a product designer, with a combination of high design calibre big tech and growth-stage startups (Series C plus). A track record of shipping complex products in SaaS, fintech, enterprise software, or similarly demanding domains. Portfolios must clearly showcase high-level design craft and deep systems thinking – we need evidence of true 0→1 enterprise SaaS experience (not just dashboard) with strong technical detail and production-ready outputs. Technical fluency and comfort working closely with engineering teams. Excellent communication, storytelling, and stakeholder alignment skills. A bias toward action and the ability to operate in a fast-moving environment.
