# Job Opportunity – CVICU Registered Nurse – Texas**Start Date:** June 26, 2026 **Location:** Texas **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** 12.5-hour shifts (7:00 AM - 7:30 PM / 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 36 guaranteed hours per week, rotating weekends, no call required**Highlights:** - Work in a Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit supporting complex CV cases including post-CABG, post-VAD, and post-catheterization patients- 13 or 26-week assignment providing critical care to diverse cardiac patient populations- Utilize Meditech documentation system for charting and order entry- Collaborate with an experienced team at an established hospital with over 50 years of service excellence- Manage patients requiring advanced cardiac support devices including IABP, Impella, and ECMO- Floating to other units as needed per hospital policy**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Texas (temporary licenses not accepted)- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience- Current BLS and ACLS certifications- NIH Stroke Scale certification required- Demonstrated competency in hemodynamic monitoring (Swan-Ganz catheters, arterial lines)- Ventilator management experience- Strong critical thinking and clinical assessment skills- Preferred: IABP exposure, CRRT experience, and Meditech experience**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This position offers the chance to work with a comprehensive cardiovascular patient population while utilizing advanced cardiac technologies and support devices.
