Skilled Labor Float - VN (Cheese Room Operator) Vernon, NY This role involves setting, cutting, cooking, and transferring cottage cheese vats in accordance with plant SOPs. The candidate will also CIP all circuits in the cheese operation, manage whey transfer, and collaborate with Blending Deck Operators. Schedule: Varies as needed. Pay range: $26.32 an hour, increasing to $27.07/hour once qualified. Union: This is a union position, covered under Teamsters Local 294 Union. Job Responsibilities: Setting, cutting, cooking, and transferring cottage cheese vats per plant SOPs. Perform CIP on all circuits involved in cheese operation and whey transfer. Maintain general knowledge of blending deck operation and work with Blending Deck Operators to ensure efficient operations. Maintain documented information as per SQF requirements. Keep work areas neat and clean at all times to conform to GMP and SQF requirements. Understand and follow all safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and avoid placing yourself or other employees in harm’s way. Remain on the task until completed or relieved.
