Position Summary

C’yool Yemeni Coffee & Bakery is seeking friendly, dependable, and professional cashiers to welcome guests, take accurate orders, process payments, and provide excellent customer service.

The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced coffee shop, communicates clearly, and represents C’yool’s commitment to warm Yemeni hospitality.

Responsibilities

Welcome every guest in a friendly and professional manner.

Explain C’yool’s coffee, tea, bakery, breakfast, and dessert selections.

Take orders accurately at the register, by telephone, or through approved ordering platforms.

Enter item choices, sizes, milk selections, flavors, and modifications correctly.

Ask about allergies and refer ingredient or cross-contact questions to a manager.

Process cash, credit-card, gift-card, and approved digital payments.

Provide receipts and accurate change.

Confirm orders with guests before submitting them.

Organize takeout and delivery orders.

Verify names and order numbers before releasing orders.

Coordinate orders with baristas, bakery employees, and kitchen staff.

Monitor online orders and communicate delays or problems promptly.

Answer customer questions and resolve basic concerns professionally.

Refer refunds, complaints, and unusual requests to a manager.

Keep the register, counter, menus, entrance, and customer areas clean and organized.

Restock cups, lids, napkins, utensils, bags, and takeout supplies.

Monitor dining-room cleanliness and notify the appropriate employee when attention is required.

Follow all cash-handling, refund, discount, void, and complimentary-item procedures.

Complete assigned opening, shift-change, and closing checklists.

Follow all food-safety, sanitation, allergen, workplace-safety, and wage-and-hour requirements.

Perform other lawful duties reasonably related to the position.

Qualifications

Previous cashier, coffee-shop, bakery, retail, or customer-service experience is preferred.

Friendly, patient, and professional attitude.

Strong communication and listening skills.

Ability to learn the complete C’yool menu.

Ability to enter orders and process payments accurately.

Comfortable using a point-of-sale system and online ordering platforms.

Ability to remain calm and organized during busy periods.

Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with a team.

Ability to communicate effectively in English; Arabic is helpful but not required.

Food-handler certification is preferred or must be obtained if required.

Scheduling and Timekeeping

Employees must accurately record all working time.

Working before clocking in or after clocking out is prohibited.

Additional shifts, shift exchanges, and schedule changes require management approval.

Employees must notify management before working outside their approved schedule.

All hours worked will be recorded and compensated as required by applicable law.

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.

Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive register tasks.

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 30 pounds.

Ability to work around hot beverages, food, kitchen equipment, and cleaning products.

Ability to work in a busy and sometimes noisy environment.
