Provide expert pharmaceutical care in a fast-paced environment located in Cicero, NY. This contract role offers the opportunity to apply your skills in medication dispensing, patient counseling, and prescription management within a well-established pharmacy setting. Your attention to detail and commitment to patient safety will be key to ensuring optimal health outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Accurately dispense prescription medications following all regulatory guidelines.
- Review prescriptions for completeness and appropriateness.
- Counsel patients on proper medication use, side effects, and interactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care.
- Maintain accurate records and perform inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy laws, regulations, and company policies.
Qualifications / Desired Experience:
- Valid Pharmacist license (must be in good standing).
- Prior pharmacy experience with prescription verification and dispensing.
- Strong knowledge of pharmaceutical terminology and drug interactions.
- Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with patients and healthcare providers.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
- Familiarity with pharmacy management systems and software.
