Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel Contract)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract (13 Weeks) | Days | Full-Time | Onsite | Shift: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM | Variable Call Schedule | Every other weekend and holidays in rotation

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct perioperative nursing care within a 7-suite operating room environment at a 1:1 patient ratio
• Perform scrub and/or circulating duties across a variety of surgical specialties including GYN, urology, general surgery, robotics, and orthopedics
• Support robotic-assisted surgical procedures including GYN, urology, and general cases
• Assist with procedures such as cystoscopy, breast surgery, knee scopes, and total joint replacements
• Document patient care accurately using the Meditech EMR system
• Participate in a variable call schedule in accordance with facility policy, including weekend and holiday rotation

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license valid in the state of Florida or compact licensure eligibility
• Minimum of 1 year of operating room nursing experience
• Demonstrated experience in GYN, urology, general surgery, robotics, and orthopedic procedures
• Ability and willingness to take call as required by facility scheduling policy
• Proficiency with Meditech EMR or comparable electronic medical record system

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with robotic-assisted surgical platforms (e.g., GYN, urology, and general robotic cases)
• Prior travel nursing experience in a perioperative or surgical setting
• Familiarity with a wide variety of OR equipment across multiple surgical specialties
