Job Description

As a Security Officer Communications Specialist in Cumberland, RI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Dispatch Officer in a healthcare location, you will coordinate security-related communications, monitor activity, and dispatch personnel to support timely responses. You will maintain accurate records, assist with access control and badge-related needs, and provide exceptional customer service to staff, visitors, and patients. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Receive, prioritize, document, and dispatch routine and urgent calls for service to appropriate security-related personnel and facility contacts.
• Monitor communication systems, alarms, and access-related activity, and relay timely information during incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations.
• Maintain accurate dispatch logs, incident records, and shift communications in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with emergency responders and site leadership as appropriate.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
