Collaborate with a dedicated, multidisciplinary team supported by 24/7 nursing, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, and Education Specialists Enjoy a balanced inpatient schedule with a 7-on/7-off rotation (7:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.) Provide care on a 14-bed adult inpatient behavioral health unit with an average daily census of 9 patients and a typical length of stay of 3–5 days, focusing on acute crisis stabilization for conditions including suicidal/homicidal ideation, psychosis, and substance withdrawal/detox Serving a surrounding population of 230,000 Employed position within a nonprofit health system Board Certified or Board Eligible Eligible for state medical licenseand DEA registration Evaluate and treat patients using appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic skills while ensuring accurate, timely documentation that meets payer requirements and supports appeals for denied services. Accept and manage inpatient referrals, serving as admitting, attending, and/or consulting physician as needed, while actively contributing to initiatives that enhance quality of care and cost-effectiveness. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: One or more of the following required: Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Wisconsin Medical Examining Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
