We are looking to fill a Clinic Manager role supporting the Springfield, IL clinic!

The Clinic Manager is responsible for the direct day-to-day supervision of Behavior Technicians (BT) at the assigned cost center(s) to ensure fair and consistent employment practices and facilitate the delivery of high-quality services. Additionally, this role provides day-to-day oversight of clinic operations to increase operational effectiveness in partnership with the Clinical Director and corporate office. 

What will your day-to-day look like?

• Interview and participate in selecting prospective candidates for the Behavior Technician role
• Evaluate BTs’ knowledge and competence to perform independent sessions
• Observe sessions and provide feedback and additional support as needed
• Conduct onboarding check-ins for new hires
• Facilitate, track, and monitor the RBT Certification process and monthly supervision requirements to ensure all technicians are active and in good standing
• Work collaboratively with BTs to address any needs related to their status with the BACB®.
• Review scorecards, competencies, and/or any other performance-based metrics with each direct report at least monthly
• Conduct performance reviews
• Provide continuous employee coaching, mentoring, and skill development for each direct report
• Collaborate with other leaders (Clinical and Regional Directors) and Departments (Scheduling, People Operations, Operations) as needed
• Facilitate all required components of New Hire BT Training, including clinical and operational policies and procedures
• Conduct competency assessments to ensure consistent delivery of services.
• Provide ongoing floor support for BTs, including 1:1 overlaps/training sessions.
• Conduct sessions as needed for provider cancellations, or as otherwise directed by the Clinical Director based on need
• Partner with BCBAs to develop targeted training objectives for learners
• Communicate training outcomes to supervising BCBA when client specific
• Collaborate with clinicians and remain fully knowledgeable on current objectives per learner
• Monitor and implement any necessary updates from the BACB®
• Partner with People Operations and Schedulers to meet staffing needs
• Consult with People Operations for performance and other employment issues/concerns
• Actively participate in Regional Success meetings
• Conduct ongoing relevant job training as needed (e.g., in-situ, apple meeting)
• Provide timely and accurate reports as requested
• Attend recruiting or marketing events as requested
• Work with clinic leadership to ensure a healthy, positive, and efficient therapeutic environment
• Partner with clinical and other leadership to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
• Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and client records
• Ensure all PHI is stored in compliance with HIPAA regulations and strictly viewed and handled only in a HIPAA compliant work environment
• Adhere to all company policy and procedures
• Serve as the point of contact for all facilities, IT, safety, and operational related issues
• Collaborate with Clinical Director, clinicians, and other departments to understand clinical and operational workflows to assist with operational improvements
• Act as the clinic’s Safety Coordinator, assuring compliance with federal, state and local regulations
• Perform ongoing safety assessments on a monthly basis
• Detect, define, generate, evaluate, and revise solutions for all safety, technology, facility, and operational issues
• Report monthly, quarterly, and annual data collected through scheduled audits. (Including but not limited to: safety and injury reporting, HIPAA audit, client satisfaction, cleaning crew accountability, and budget & supply inventory)
• Conduct clinic tours for new or prospective client/caregivers 
• Prepare and monitor key performance metrics to ensure financial and operational goals are met
• Oversee clinic expenditures and communicate additional needs to the Operations Department
• Ensure clinical teams are well supported by maintaining inventory of needed resources
• Working within the clinic budget, control supply inventory and distribution of goods and supplies
• Reconcile daily petty cash and weekly budgets
• Assist the Clinical Director with the creation of annual budgets
• Conduct sessions as needed for provider cancellations, or as otherwise directed by the Clinical Director based on need
• Ensure clinicians have the appropriate structure to keep complete, timely, and accurate records
• Actively work to support the achievement of BPI’s strategic and operational objectives
• Actively participate in team meetings

Required Skills/Abilities

• Ability to maintain good attendance records and have open availability to respond to clinic needs as assigned, including opening and closing duties
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent management skills and the ability to guide a team of Behavior Technicians through difficult situations
• Proficiency in Google Suite software
• Proficiency in Central Reach software
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
• Strong involvement in the autism/special needs community
• Ability to maintain all required BACB credentials and company training as determined by BACB guidelines and clinic needs
• Ability to adhere to regular and reliable attendance as an essential function of the job
• Ability to maintain flexible availability in order to respond to clinical needs (ie: some evenings, opening shifts, etc.)

Education and Experience

• Associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred)
• Active RBT certification, required
• Two or more years in a supervisory role or managerial role, preferred
• CPR and First Aid training, required (training provided)
• QBS training, required (training provided)

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time
• Ability to move about inside offices, clinic environments, and homes
• Ability to operate a computer and other office productivity equipment including but not limited to printers and copiers
• Ability to ascend/descend stairs and ladders
• Ability to communicate information and ideas in a way that others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• Ability to observe details at close range (within a few feet of the observer)
• Ability to move and respond quickly to elopement, problem behaviors, and other physically demanding situations involving clients
• Ability to lift, hold, and move up to 50 lbs.
