Quality Technician

Quality Technician I – Williamson, NY Job Overview The Quality Technician performs standardized qualitative and quantitative tests on work‑in‑process and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer quality standards. Shift and Schedule This is a full‑time night position on a 2‑2‑3 rotating schedule (6:00 pm – 6:00 am). Flexibility to work overtime and weekend as needed is required. Position Responsibilities Conduct organoleptic and analytical tests at various stages of compounding and packaging, using pH meters, HPLC, Malvern Mastersizer, and other instrumentation. Submit samples for microbiological testing, maintain test results, and calculate batch adjustments for certain products. Approve batches for packaging, conforming finished products for shipment, and place non‑conforming product on hold for further analysis. Create corresponding inventory movements in SAP and file and maintain retained samples. Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation. Prepare reagents and solutions for use in testing and observe conditions and practices in compounding, packaging, and finished goods storage areas, making recommendations for improvement. Compensation Pay starts at $25.36 per hour plus a $0.60 shift differential. The hourly rate increases to $26.66 after the employee’s 6‑month anniversary. Minimum 3 years of related quality control experience in a manufacturing environment (preferred). Knowledge of water chemistry and microbiology (preferred).Experience with documentation and record‑keeping required. Strong problem‑solving skills, teamwork orientation, and ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
