Family Intake Therapist (PRN)

Location: Medical Center - Fort Worth Department: Psychiatry Shift: First Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 8 Summary The Family Intake Therapist will work on a part-time basis to provide coverage to both our Inpatient Psychiatry and the Partial Hospitalization Program. Primary coverage will be Mon‑Fri with some weekend and holiday coverage as needed. Duties/Responsibilities Conduct intake assessments in person and over the phone to determine the appropriate level of care and treatment for the patient. Provide family assessments, family therapy, crisis intervention, and telephone triage for psychiatric inpatients, PHP, ER, and discharged patients. Participate in group therapy, multi-disciplinary treatment, diagnostic conferences, and diagnostic interviews. Provide case management services for all patients. Manage patient mental health benefits, and keep informed of all information regarding the patient's treatment and their payor. Be available to provide intake assessments on an on‑call basis. Education/Experience Master's level in Social Work, Counseling or related field. Experience providing individual, group and family therapy. Education in Child growth and development required. Behavioral Health background/experience. Experience working with psychiatric patients preferred. Experience working in Hospital or Pediatric setting preferred. Certification/Licensure LMSW, LCSW or LPC Licensed in the state of Texas Qualified as a QMHP (Qualified Mental Health Professional) by the Texas Department of Health. CPR Heart saver certification required prior to start. CPI Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention - Units 1‑7 & 9‑10 plus the CPI Children's Control Position from Unit 8 must be completed within 60 days of start date.
