Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to provide occupational therapy services to residents in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF). The COTA will work under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist to support residents with daily activities, functional mobility, therapeutic exercises, and independence.
ResponsibilitiesProvide occupational therapy treatments under the direction of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), functional mobility, and therapeutic activities.
Implement treatment activities based on individual resident needs and established care plans.
Monitor resident progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Complete accurate and timely treatment records and clinical documentation.
Collaborate with nursing staff, therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.
Promote resident safety, independence, and quality of care.
Follow individualized plans of care and established therapy protocols.
Maintain compliance with facility policies and applicable state regulations.
Maintain patient confidentiality and professional standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Active New York State COTA License required.
BLS certification required.
Previous COTA experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) required.
Experience working with residents in a nursing home or skilled nursing setting.
Knowledge of occupational therapy procedures, patient safety, and clinical documentation.
Ability to work 5 days per week, including Saturdays .
