Position Summary

Ameristar Manufacturing is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Truck Driver to transport finished goods, raw materials, tooling, and other products to customers and vendors throughout Minnesota. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys driving while remaining home every evening.

The Truck Driver plays a critical role in ensuring on-time deliveries, maintaining excellent customer service, and safely operating company equipment.

Schedule

• Monday through Friday
• 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM
• No overnight travel
• Minnesota deliveries only
• Home every night

Essential Responsibilities

• Safely operate a company semi-truck and trailer throughout Minnesota.
• Pick up and deliver customer orders, raw materials, tooling, and production supplies.
• Load and unload freight using forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment as required.
• Secure loads in accordance with DOT regulations and company safety standards.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete required inspection reports.
• Maintain accurate delivery paperwork, bills of lading, and shipping documentation.
• Communicate with the Shipping Department regarding delivery schedules and route updates.
• Represent Ameristar professionally while interacting with customers, suppliers, and vendors.
• Report vehicle maintenance concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized truck and trailer.
• Follow all Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), DOT, and company safety regulations.
• Assist with warehouse or shipping duties when deliveries are completed, as needed.

Qualifications

• Valid Minnesota Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements, if required.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card).
• Clean driving record with the ability to meet company insurance requirements.
• Previous commercial driving experience preferred.
• Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Reliable, punctual, and safety-oriented.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, move, or carry up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to climb into and out of tractor and trailer multiple times throughout the day.
• Bend, stoop, kneel, reach, and secure loads.
• Sit for extended periods while driving.
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
