Insurance Biller Collector

As an Insurance Biller, you will provide critical support in the revenue cycle, meticulously processing and submitting claims to ensure timely and accurate reimbursement for services rendered. You will review patient accounts, verify insurance information, apply correct coding, and prepare and transmit claims, following up on rejections and denials to maximize revenue capture. You must demonstrate attention to detail, knowledge of billing regulations, and analytical skills to contribute to the organization’s financial health. Responsibilities Perform daily billing functions for assigned Accounts Receivable claims, ensuring resolution within set deadlines and achieving QA percentage goals. Follow up on outstanding accounts and secure payment commitments from insurance carriers. Sends out daily appeals for denied claims via Cerner, ensuring accurate action and completion. Resolve correspondence or inquiries promptly, meeting payer deadlines and customer needs. Identify trends and patterns in claims processing and participate in process improvement. Document all actions in the system to clearly communicate status. Use Cerner, billing clearing house, and other staff systems effectively. Operate departmental equipment (telephone, computer, fax, copier, timekeeping) competently. Prioritize workload, assist co‑workers, and seek help when necessary. Report problems or suggestions to the supervisor and follow the departmental chain of command. Stay current with industry changes, including UB‑04/HIPAA updates relevant to assigned payers. Attend PFS departmental meetings. Requirements Two (2) years of hospital or healthcare provider billing/collection experience in a high‑volume medical claim environment. Experience with AHCCCS, Medicare, government, and commercial payers. Experience billing UB‑04 forms. High school graduate or equivalent. Proficiency with computerized billing systems, word processing, and spreadsheets. Preferred Experience Four (4) years of hospital billing/collection experience in a high‑volume medical claim environment. College‑level business coursework. Two years of relevant college education and experience. Experience with Google Workspace, billing clearing house, and Cerner. Pay Range $17.32 - $26.85 per hour #J-18808-Ljbffr CommonSpirit Health
