Staff Accountant

About the Opportunity Location: La Porte, IN (Fully Onsite) Salary: $75,000 – $90,000 We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our finance team in La Porte, Indiana. Key Responsibilities Prepare monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, and assist with the month-end and year-end close process. Prepare accurate financial reports and analyze variances to support management decision‑making. Support manufacturing operations by maintaining accurate inventory and cost data while ensuring financial integrity. Assist with general ledger maintenance, fixed assets, internal controls, and audit preparation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve accounting processes and reporting efficiency. Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal accounting procedures. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting required. Minimum of 2 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of financial reporting, general ledger accounting, and month‑end close. Experience with inventory accounting, cost accounting, or manufacturing operations is highly preferred. Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
