Behavioral Health Therapist 1 Inova Children’s Services, Fairfax is looking for a dedicated Behavioral Therapist 1/ Music Therapist to join the team.The role will conduct individual and group music therapy sessions for children inpatient and outpatient settings. Behavioral Health Therapist I Job Responsibilities: Provides a range of mental health and/or substance use disorders therapeutic interventions, psycho-educational programming and behavioral interventions (when indicated) to assist the patient/family in achieving the goals and objectives of the individualized service plan. May participate in inpatient and community psychoeducational programs, facilitate support groups for specified disease processes related to mental health, medical diagnosis, chronic or life-limited illnesses while assisting with community outreach. Duties will be performed under the clinical supervision of an approved clinical supervisor. Minimum Qualifications: Education: Master’s degree, Ph.D., PsyD, EdD in mental health, social work, counseling, psychology, or behavioral health-related field Experience: Internship in mental health or substance use disorder treatment completed within 90 days of employment. Certification: Basic Life Support Within 3 Months. CPI in-person training for non-violent crisis intervention, receive CPI blue card within 6 months of hire. Licensure: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Clinical Psychologist (LCP), or Licensed Substance Abuse Professional (LSATP) within 5 years. Must comply with the appropriate licensing board requirement for registering as a Resident in Training or Supervisee in Clinical Social Work or applicable title identified by the specific licensing board within 4 months of hire.
