Responsibilities Perform obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound examinations with precision, ensuring clear visualization of fetal development, maternal anatomy, and related structures. Apply advanced sonography techniques to capture detailed images, adhering to aseptic procedures and safety protocols. Collaborate closely with physicians specializing in maternal-fetal medicine and obstetrics/gynecology to interpret findings and support diagnostic decisions. Maintain thorough documentation of procedures, images, and patient information in accordance with hospital policies and medical terminology standards. Educate patients about procedures, addressing questions with clear communication skills while providing compassionate support throughout their visit. Ensure all imaging equipment is properly maintained, calibrated, and operated using best practices in medical imaging and diagnostic radiology. Uphold strict infection control standards through proper aseptic technique to ensure patient safety during all procedures. Experience Proven experience in obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound imaging, with a strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology. Familiarity with maternal-fetal medicine principles and the ability to identify normal versus abnormal fetal development. Knowledge of sonography equipment operation, diagnostic radiology standards, and medical imaging best practices. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Prior experience working in a clinical setting where patient care is prioritized alongside technical proficiency is highly desirable. Certification as a registered diagnostic medical sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent credential is preferred. Ability to maintain professionalism while managing multiple patient cases efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
