Our work helps further the impact that Starlink is already making on millions of users around the world, while allowing us to broaden that reach dramatically and continue connecting the unconnected here on earth.As a member of the Akoustis Supply Chain team you will manage the demand plan and sourcing for hardware used to manufacture Akoustis BAW filters. Akoustis has a unique ability and desire to influence and shape suppliers as we challenge our supply chain in terms of cost, quality and speed of execution. The functions within the Akoustis Planning department include procurement, planning and fulfillment, supplier development and quality, logistics and inventory. This role's scope will help enable rate production in the satellite factory of the future! We are seeking an experienced and motivated Planner to join our fast-paced supply chain team to help drive the success of Starlink in manufacturing world-class RF filters.RESPONSIBILITIES: Monitor and continuously improve both Akoustis demand and supply plansInitiate purchase orders to ensure timely delivery of material to support customer requirementsTrack material from Fab wafer completion to final manufacturing and order fulfillmentManage inventory to prevent stock outs while maintaining healthy inventory levelsWork directly with key suppliers to develop and implement sourcing and cost management strategies that support existing platforms and new product developmentManage costs aggressively to ensure adherence to project-specific budgets and forecastsEnsure that suppliers are prepared to support all prototype builds with appropriate equipment and material to ensure successful product development, ramp up and mass productionDevelop, manage, and maintain strong supplier partnershipsBASIC QUALIFICATIONS:Bachelor’s degree and 1+ years of experience working in one or more of the following; or 4+ years of experience working in one or more of the following in lieu of a degree:Material or production planningPurchasingOperations or supply chain managementMaster production schedulingEngineeringContract negotiationMaterial cost controlPREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:Familiarity with D365 ERP systems and purchasing/planning functionsStrong track record of leadership and team-building skillsExperience in production purchasing preferredExceptional analytical, problem-solving, organizational and customer service skillsAbility to learn quickly and prioritize appropriately to meet customer and company needsSQL ExperiencePowerBI experienceAdvanced skills in MS Excel and Project, able to create pivot tables or macros, and analyze dataExperience navigating multitier Bill of Materials and work ordersLean Six Sigma certificationExceptional written, verbal and presentation communication skillsDetail-oriented, self-motivated and able to respond quickly to a fast-moving and ever-changing environmentAble to conduct all activities with the highest of integrityUnderstanding of block-chain powered supply chain platforms to boost efficiency, traceability, and transparencyADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:Position occasionally requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends when neededThis position is based Bastrop, TX and requires being onsite, remote work is not consideredITAR REQUIREMENTS:To conform to U.S. Government export regulations, applicant must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national, (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (aka green card holder), (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. § 1157, or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. § 1158, or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
