Job Summary:
An ICU Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Mission Hills, California. This role involves providing specialized care within a Progressive Care Unit (PCU), focusing on critically ill patients requiring advanced monitoring and interventions. Candidates must bring their active California license on the first day of assignment. The position offers night shifts with a minimum weekly commitment of 36 hours, starting as soon as possible.

• Shift: Nights, 12 hours per shift, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Active California license, ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support), BLS (Basic Life Support), NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification, LA City Fire Card, 1 year of ICU experience
• Additional Qualifications & Skills: Experience managing BiPAP/CPAP, blood products, ventilated patients, chest tubes, cerebrovascular accidents, feeding tubes, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), arterial blood gases (ABGs), dysrhythmias, isolation precautions, IV insulin protocols, cardiac and vasoactive drips, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen therapy, PCA, PICC line management, post-myocardial infarction care, dialysis, IV placement, surgical drains, telemetry monitoring (on-unit and remote), tracheostomy care, traumatic brain injury, rapid response/code team activation, wound care, and wound vac management.
• Certification & Experience: Must have at least 1 year of ICU experience, current certifications in ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, and LA City Fire Card.
• Additional Information:
  • Float within skillset may be required.
  • Weekend coverage required; candidate must be available to work 3 of the 5 holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, New Years Day).
  • Orientation: 12 hours.
  • Submissions must include candidates previous work at a Providence facility (if applicable), LA Fire Card (within last 30 days), and two references covering at least 1 year within the last 3 years.
  • Vaccinations: COVID-19 vaccine not required; flu vaccine status unknown.
  • Candidates must be willing to float between facilities within the state; refusal to float may result in termination or forfeiture of guaranteed hours.
