CDL A Truck Driver

We provide water treatment and waste minimization solutions for companies that use water in the creation of their products and services. We are seeking a CDL Driver responsible for safely hauling water and related fluids to and from customer and Orion locations, while maintaining strict compliance with DOT, OSHA, environmental, and company safety standards. This role operates on a hitch-based schedule and works closely with dispatchers, technicians, and field operations to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.

Key Responsibilities:

Transportation & Operations

• Safely operate Class A CDL truck to haul produced water, fresh water, frac water, or chemicals to and from job sites.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules issued by dispatch with precise timing.
• Perform pre-trip, post-trip, and en-route inspections in compliance with FMCSA regulations.
• Accurately connect/disconnect hoses, monitor fluid transfers, and verify volumes.
• Complete accurate BOLs, trip sheets, scale tickets, and electronic logs.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all DOT/FMCSA, OSHA, environmental, and Orion safety policies.
• Use required PPE at all times, including FR clothing, eye protection, and hearing protection.
• Immediately report any incidents, spills, near-misses, or mechanical concerns.
• Participate in safety meetings, audits, and field observations as required.

Customer & Team Interaction

• Represent Orion professionally at customer locations.
• Maintain clear communication with dispatch, team members, and leadership.
• Support safe site operations when not actively driving (hose handling, staging, equipment checks, etc.).

Requirements:

Required

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker and HAZMAT Endorsement
• Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT medical requirements
• 1+ years of CDL driving experience (oilfield or water hauling strongly preferred)
• Ability to work 14/7 and 12-hr shifts
• Ability to lift and maneuver 50+ lbs, climb catwalks, and work outdoors in all weather
• Oil & gas/water transfer, disposal, or midstream field experience
• Familiarity with ELD systems, frac site operations, and scale ticket processes
