Part-Time Studio Manager – Vibez Creative Arts Space

Are you passionate about creativity, community, and the arts? Vibez Creative Arts Space, located in Glendale, WI, is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time Studio Manager to join our team. If you thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and enjoy creating exceptional guest experiences, this role is perfect for you! This position requires evening and weekend availability, including holidays as needed for events.

Responsibilities

As the Part-Time Studio Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our vibrant arts studio on weekends. Your responsibilities will include:

• Studio Operations : Overseeing weekend studio operations, including opening and closing procedures, maintaining a clean and organized space, and managing the studio schedule and room usage. You'll also monitor supplies and ensure compliance with safety procedures and studio policies.
• Customer Experience : Creating a welcoming and inspiring environment for our guests by greeting customers, assisting with project selection, resolving concerns, and building relationships with returning members.
• Staff Leadership : Supervising weekend staff, including Customer Service Art Assistants, assisting with hiring and onboarding, and providing coaching to foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Events & Programming : Coordinating logistics for weekend events, workshops, and private parties. You'll ensure instructors and event staff have the materials they need and help maintain quality standards.
• Membership & Community Engagement : Promoting Vibez Memberships and supporting member-exclusive events to encourage repeat visits and build community connections.
• Administrative Tasks : Monitoring weekend sales and operational performance, maintaining accurate records, and communicating regularly with the Studio Manager/Creative Director about weekend operations.

Qualifications

We’re looking for someone with a strong mix of organizational skills, leadership ability, and a passion for the arts. Ideal candidates will have:

• Required Skills/Abilities :
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• A professional, positive, and accountable leadership style.
• Passion for creativity, community engagement, and the arts.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 pounds (e.g., setting up tables, chairs, and art materials for events).
• Reliable availability every Friday–Sunday.
• Preferred Education/Experience :
• Leadership or supervisory experience is preferred.
• Experience in customer service, hospitality, retail, arts, or recreation.
• Familiarity with POS and scheduling systems (Square, Sawyer, Homebase, or similar).
• Equivalent professional experience in lieu of a degree is welcome.

Schedule

This part-time role requires availability Monday through Sunday, with specific shift hours determined by the studio and event schedule. Evening and weekend availability is essential, including holidays as needed for events.
