Job Title: RN - BMT Oncology Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Bone Marrow Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital BMT Oncology RN experience License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy Provider Certification Must-Have: Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. - Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital BMT Oncology RN experience - BLS and ACLS certifications Description: The infusion team provides critical outpatient infusion care services. Support is provided for TCT and liver/renal transplant programs. Candidates must be competent in IV placement skills. Experience in chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapy administration is required. Experience with blood products, antibiotics, IVIG, and IVF administration is essential. Candidates should be familiar with immunocompromised patients. The unit performs infusions of IVIG, blood products, Albumin, Lasix, electrolyte replacements, antibiotics, IV hydration, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular administration. Granix and Mozobil injections for transplant and cellular therapy collections are administered. Oversight for cellular procedures is provided after required training is completed. A good team player who is compassionate, caring, proactive, and positive is ideal. Candidates must handle high patient volumes and high patient acuities well. The infusion center team plays a critical role in supporting the apheresis program and providing oversight for stem cell collection procedures. Outpatient CAR T infusions are also supported.
