Job Summary Allina Health is a not-for-profit health system that cares for individuals, families and communities throughout Minnesota and western Wisconsin. The position is a nursing role focused on urgent care, ensuring timely, evidence-based treatment for patients with trauma, injury or acute medical conditions. Key Position Details Location: 11269 Jefferson Hwy N, Champlin, MN 55316-3123 Shift: Day/Evening (8‑hour shifts) Hours per week: 20 (part‑time) FTE: 0.5 (40 hours over two weeks) Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend Union Contract: Non‑Union‑NCT Saturday/Sunday absences only if part of the rotation Job Description Assessment Collects, prioritizes, and synthesizes comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation, using evidence‑based assessment techniques and instruments. Implementation Implements the identified plan safely and timely, utilizing evidence‑based interventions, coordinating care when appropriate, and documenting interventions per guidelines. Evaluation Evaluates patient progress toward outcomes, assesses understanding and response to the plan, revises diagnoses and plans as needed, and documents revisions according to guidelines. Collaboration Collaborates with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to effect change and generate positive outcomes. Diagnosis Analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses, formulates and revises diagnoses, and communicates them to the patient, family, and team. Outcomes Identification Identifies individualized expected outcomes, establishes realistic and measurable goals in partnership with the patient and family. Planning Develops individualized care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve expected outcomes, ensuring continuity of care and incorporating evidence‑based practice. Quality of Practice Participates in quality improvement activities, uses QI data to enhance practice and outcomes. Education Attains and applies current nursing knowledge, participates in educational activities, and integrates learning into practice. Professional Practice Evaluation Conducts self‑evaluation, seeks feedback, and identifies strengths and development goals. Collegiality Supports peer development, shares knowledge, provides constructive feedback, and fosters a healthy work environment. Ethics Acts ethically, maintains professional boundaries, serves as patient advocate, and uses resources for ethical decision‑making. Research Integrates evidence‑based research findings into practice decisions. Resource Utilization Considers safety, effectiveness, cost, and impact when planning and delivering care, ensuring resources are available for future use. Leadership Provides role modeling, promotes a positive environment, participates in shared decision‑making. Environmental Health Practices safely, assesses environmental risks, and promotes strategies to reduce exposures. Charge Nurse (when acting) Coordinates unit operations to meet patient and family needs and utilizes resources efficiently. Preceptor (when acting) Identifies learning needs, implements orientation plans, assesses competence and interpersonal skills, and facilitates integration into the organization. Other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications Associate's or Vocational degree in nursing. Licensed Registered Nurse – MN Board of Nursing. Current BLS certification (AHA, Red Cross, or Allina in‑house training). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing. 1 year of urgent care or emergency department experience. Physical Demands Medium workload: lifts up to 32 lbs occasionally and up to 25 lbs frequently. Pay Range $40.08 to $54.93 per hour, based on experience, education, and shift differentials.
