LensCrafters, part of EssilorLuxottica, provides eye care services with a personal approach. We are looking for a dedicated EyeCare Advisor to deliver an exceptional patient experience. General Function The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value for customers by delivering the LensCrafters Experience, ensuring all patients receive high‑quality optometric care, driving store KPIs, and integrating the flagship brand story with flawless execution of the patient experience. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets customers promptly within 30 seconds. Answers telephone calls within 3 rings courteously. Explains required paperwork, tests, products, and services. Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully, identifying special needs and consulting with Optician, Managing Doctor or Retail Management as necessary. Shows patience and courtesy to indecisive or difficult customers and patients. Performs work accurately and thoroughly despite time pressure and customer volume. Identifies unsatisfied customers and acts quickly for resolution. Demonstrates knowledge of appointment booking/scheduling procedures and computer operations. Handles and files all patient records in an organized, HIPAA‑compliant manner. Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment. Operates the POS system, entering customer/patient and prescription information accurately. Collects proper payment following company security procedures, handling credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance, and coupons, and retains proper change. Explains the “One‑Hour” processing and expected delivery times. Takes pride in the store appearance, ensuring visual displays adhere to company guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment for associates and patients. Responds quickly to changes in store promotions with appropriate staff communications, graphics, and point‑of‑purchase materials. Retail Demonstrates comprehensive product knowledge and accurately describes lens and frame features and benefits. Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses that best suit their vision, lifestyle, and budget. Doctor’s Office Performs all pre‑examination testing accurately, explaining measurements and answering patient questions. Provides coaching and guidance to patients on contact lens care and handling. Maintains and disinfections contact lens inventory, providing clinical support to the Optometrist as needed. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. Strong customer service skills. Knowledge of current fashion trends. Strong communicator and listener. Problem‑solving ability. Familiarity with cash register, computers, and calculators. Organization skills. Sales skills. Strong basic math skills. Knowledge of office and store merchandise. Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, retail, and/or optical. Strong interpersonal skills. Benefits The role is full‑time, with compensation based on geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements.
