Travel Pediatric Medical Psych RN – Job Description

Position: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Pediatric Medical Psych

We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Medical Psych Registered Nurse to join a newly opening Behavioral Health unit dedicated to pediatric patients with both medical-surgical and behavioral health needs. The RN will provide compassionate, trauma-informed, and patient-centered care while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the safety and well-being of children and adolescents in a secure treatment environment.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Pediatric RN experience , including behavioral health or pediatric medical-psych experience preferred.
• Previous travel experience required ( first-time travelers will not be considered ).
• Active RN license (Indiana or Compact license required by start date).
• BLS certification required.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, and crisis intervention skills.

Additional Information

• Floating required
• Every other weekend; approximately 6 weekend shifts per contract
• No local candidates or Indiana residents accepted
• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays
