Job Description

About the Role

Lowery Custom Construction, in partnership with Creative Pools of Greensboro, is seeking a skilled Equipment Operator / Transporter to join our growing team in Madison, NC. You will be responsible for hauling machinery and materials safely to various job sites, as well as operating heavy equipment on-site to support pool installation and custom building projects.

Key Responsibilities

Transport construction equipment, pool shells, and building materials to multiple job locations across the region.
Safely load, secure, haul, and unload equipment using heavy haul trailers.
Operate heavy machinery (excavators, skid steers, track loaders) efficiently and safely on active job sites.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintaining routine logs and equipment maintenance checks.
Coordinate with site foremen to ensure timely delivery and proper positioning of equipment and supplies.

Qualifications

License: Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (Required).
Experience: Proven experience operating heavy construction equipment and transporting machinery.
Skill in securing heavy loads using chains, binders, and straps in compliance with safety regulations.
Strong work ethic, reliable attendance, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
