Service Technician

Senior Field Service Technician / Service Operations Lead Location: Long Island, New York Primary Service Area: Nassau and Suffolk Counties, with some work in New York City and occasional out-of-state travel Company: Green Office Solutions, Inc. Green Office Solutions is looking for an experienced, dependable technician who can take ownership of service calls, equipment installations, and day-to-day field operations. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who can receive a service ticket, diagnose the problem, determine what is needed, complete the repair, and communicate clearly with both the client and our office—without requiring constant direction. The right person will have strong experience servicing printers, copiers, and multifunction devices, along with enough IT and networking knowledge to handle the technology surrounding today’s office equipment. What You’ll Be Doing Diagnose and repair printers, copiers, multifunction devices, scanners, and related office technology Manage service calls from start to finish Identify required parts and submit accurate parts requests promptly Build, configure, program, deliver, and install equipment Configure network printing, scanning, email, address books, faxing, and device applications Perform preventative maintenance and help reduce repeat service calls Maintain an organized parts and equipment inventory Document completed work accurately and communicate status updates clearly Work directly with clients in a professional, positive, and helpful manner Assist with larger equipment deployments and multi-location client projects Help improve service procedures, organization, and efficiency as the company grows What We’re Looking For Professional experience repairing printers, copiers, or multifunction devices Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills Working knowledge of networking, Windows environments, print drivers, scanning, SMTP, and related office technology Ability to manage several assignments while keeping priorities organized Ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field Strong follow-through and attention to detail Comfortable locating parts, researching technical issues, and completing repairs efficiently Willingness to follow established procedures while also suggesting better ways to do things A positive attitude and a client-first approach Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties, into the five boroughs, and occasionally outside New York Ability to attend a weekly meeting in Center Moriches; in-person attendance is preferred Experience with Lexmark equipment, managed print platforms, ConnectWise, Microsoft 365, networking, or MSP environments is a strong advantage, but we are open to technicians with experience on other major copier and printer brands.
