Registered Nurse IMC/PCU/Stepdown

Job Summary:

Provide expert care to patients in the IMC/PCU/Stepdown unit during night shifts, ensuring safety and clinical excellence. Utilize specialized skills to monitor patient status and administer treatments in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor patient vital signs and clinical status, promptly addressing any changes.
  
  
• 
  Document patient progress and interventions accurately using Epic electronic charting systems.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and modify care plans.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with certification requirements such as BLS and ACLS.
  
  
• 
  Adhere to staffing ratios and float policies, providing coverage as needed.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Hold an active UT nursing license or comparable state license.
  
  
• 
  Possess BLS and ACLS certification.
  
  
• 
  Have travel experience preferred, with flexibility for night shifts.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrate excellent clinical judgment and communication skills.
  
  
• 
  Ability to complete onboarding modules onsite within 48 hours.
  
  
• 
  Previous experience in IMC/PCU/Stepdown settings preferred.
