Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night Shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). Requires 3 shifts per week with 36 guaranteed hours, including every other weekend.

We are seeking a skilled Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care to critically ill patients in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will be proficient in managing complex clinical situations and performing a variety of emergency procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients experiencing multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Provide care for stroke (CVA) and ventilated patients.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP devices and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Follow isolation precautions and perform triage.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum 1.5 years of clinical nursing experience.
• At least 2 years of recent ER experience required.
• Active state nursing license (NY or compact) is required.
• Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS are mandatory.
• No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
