Corporate Compliance Specialist

Description As the Corporate Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that 10 Federal Self Storage adheres to all relevant federal, state, and local laws and regulations governing the self-storage industry, as well as internal policies and procedures. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive compliance programs, mitigating risks, and promoting a culture of ethical conduct throughout the organization. Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for operational escalations related to Facility Management Systems. Ensure operational policies and procedures are consistently followed across all locations. Develop, implement, and monitor operational SOPs across the portfolio. Ensure compliance with lien laws, auction procedures, and other state regulatory requirements. Partner with IT and vendor teams to optimize FMS (facility management software such as (StorEDGE, SiteLink, etc). Provide training and ongoing support for new and existing operational systems, tools, and processes. Mentor property staff and operations coordinators to improve efficiency and adherence to best practices. Work with Accounting, Marketing, and Facilities to ensure alignment on billing, technology, and site maintenance initiatives. Support transitions for acquisitions, new property openings, and third-party managed locations. Partner with leadership to monitor KPIs, analyze performance trends, and recommend improvements. Maintain operational dashboards and trackers to ensure timely reporting of property-level performance. Identify patterns, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process automation or improvement. Promote a culture of ethical conduct, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and/or 5+ years of experience in operations or multi-site management, preferably in self-storage, property management, or related industries. Strong understanding of lien laws, tenant communication standards, and auction processes. Proven experience with facility management platforms (StorEDGE, SiteLink, WebSelfStorage, etc). Excellent communication, leadership, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple initiatives, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Teams, Outlook) and cloud-based tools (SharePoint, Google Workspace).
