School Social Worker/Counselor/Psychologist PracticumTemporary position in Primary, Secondary departments at Watertown Public Schools. Reports to school based supervisor. Unpaid salary range. To secure a practicum placement in WPS, reach out to the district Coordinator of Mental and Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities include small group interventions, delivery of school counseling curriculum, involvement with student individualized education programs, individual counseling, testing (psychology students only), attending parent conferences and faculty meetings, active participation in the school community, and clear communication with the cooperating supervisor. Qualifications required include enrollment in a college/university program leading to educational licensure and/or additional credentialing in education. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, talking, hearing, operating a computer and other office equipment, reaching with hands and arms, and occasionally lifting up to 10 pounds.
