Job Summary:
Medical Surgical Floor Nurse - Nights - Multiple Units. This position involves providing direct patient care in a post-surgical unit that supports young adult through late adult populations. The role requires flexibility to float between units and facilities within a 35-mile radius based on staffing needs, patient census, and acuity, with always prior notification for float assignments.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Nights shift, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid nursing license, successful completion of a proctored rhythm test, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, at least 1 year of relevant clinical experience, and the ability to work scheduled nights.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience in medical-surgical nursing, strong communication skills, and ability to float between units.
• Additional Information: The role involves working in a 32-bed post-surgical care unit primarily caring for patients with diagnoses such as bowel obstruction, wound infection, gastrointestinal cancers, and morbid obesity. Patients must be hemodynamically stable and not require mechanical ventilation. An RN will assume full responsibility for assigned patients, working within a variable staffing grid that includes RNs, Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs), Patient Care Technicians (PCTs), and Nurse Interns (NIs). Candidates must be available to start on 10/12/2026 and complete the assignment by 01/10/2027.
