Registered Nurse - Med/Surg

Location: Nashville, TN

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Job Description: The Registered Nurse will provide attentive and compassionate care to patients and their families in a Neuro Med/Surg unit. The nurse is expected to foster personal connections with patients, engage in bedside shift reports, and actively include patients and their families in the care planning process.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients with neuro and surgical conditions.
• Utilize IV pumps, telemetry, continuous pulse oximetry machines, and other equipment as required.
• Perform basic wound care, start IVs, and manage surgical drains, nasogastric tubes, and chest tubes.
• Document patient care accurately in the Meditech system.
• Assist in embracing a culture of safety and quality in patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Active RN license
• BLS certification
• Med/Surg experience preferred
• Ability to prioritize care and multitask in a fast-paced environment
