Class A Truck Driver
MAERSK is hiring Class A Truck Driver with DELIVERY experience to work out of our Omaha, NE Location
Pay: $24.00 - $26.00 per hour
Shift hours: Mon - Fri / Start time: First Shift 8AM TO 5PM
Requirements:
- Class A CDL (CLEAN MOTOR VEHICLE RECORD)
- Must have at least 1 full year of verifiable Tractor Trailer experience within the last 5 years
- Delivery experience A MUST
- Must have a clean motor vehicle record
- Medical DOT Card mandatory
- Must be at least 22 years of age
- Must be comfortable driving both Tractor Trailers and Straight Trucks
Physical Requirements: This position requires standing and walking for extended periods of time. Position requires the employee to frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, use hands, reach, bend, and lift objects above their head. The employee must be able to regularly lift/move up to 50 pounds. The position requires regular use of a phone and a PC and reading and writing of various shipping documents.
- Touch Freight
- Comfortable with assembling/disassembling freight
- Able to apply basic problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret maps
- Strong knowledge of the roadways throughout the immediate and surrounding areas
- Ability to read and understand tariff signs and signals
- Ability to read, comprehend, and complete basic checklists, forms, and other related documents
